Chances are you know what the Illinois Education Association is. IEA has been around for a long time. However, you may not know who IEA Sinnissippi is. What’s the difference?
IEA represents you on the large scale, statewide and nationwide. IEA Sinnissippi is here specifically for your geographical region. We service the IEA Regions of 21, 22 & 54 which stretches from parts of Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, DeKalb, Ogle & Lee counties.
We are closer to your community, we have close ties with your local, we hear your frustrations and celebrate your successes. We bring the state info to you and bring your stories back to the state. We are the finger on the pulse of your association.
You have heard that unions should support one another. We really believe that. We believe that we are stronger together. When we rise up with one voice… we are heard. Towards that effort, the IEA Sinnissippi regional office tries to tie all the locals together into one larger community.
We do that by bringing information and you into one place:
- Hosting trainings with all members invited to facilitate collaboration and professional development
- Offering social outlets like movie nights & trivia nights to promote relationship building and networking
- Supporting and encouraging locals to support one another in times of crisis
- Our UniServ Directors are the ones to call when you are in need
- Promoting programs, benefits & resources that you may be unaware of
