Great Northern Area Bargaining Workshop

The GNA Bargaining Workgroup is moving forward with putting together a bargaining conference. This conference will look different from previous conferences that you may have attended. The conference will be presented by you, the active leaders, with the IEA staff there to assist. Cost:  $50 per local and $250 per Region with no limit on the number of attendees. Topics:  School Board Elections; Crisis Prep/Organizing for Settlement; Financial Analysis; Learning Conditions; Bargaining First Contracts; Salary Structure; Interest Based Bargaining (IBB); Bargaining Evaluations. When:  January 10th, 2015 Time:  10 am – 2 pm Where:  NIU Hoffman Estates, 5555 Trillium Blvd., Hoffman Estates, IL 60192 What we need: Here is the big part. To have this Bargaining Conference we need your local to do the following:1. Submit $50 from your local – $250 if you are a Region, either to your UD or to Kevin Bennett. The check should be made out to IEA; 2. Submit names of members that will be attending; 3. Get your members to put it on their calendar.
