Donate a book – Win a bracelet from Gruno’s Diamond

Gruno’s Diamonds reached out to the community in search of a way to give back. Someone spoke with someone else (isn’t that how community connections are built?) who made a connection with Principal Joyann Kirschbaum of Kings Elementary School, who shared the following with me:

“Some of our students come from homes that are impoverished. Not everyone has the resources to invest in books. In order to help instill a love of learning, we want to give the donated books as gifts for the students to take home. It will be their book that they can own and read as often as they like, read aloud to their family and siblings…it’s truly a beautiful thing when you see the excitement spread over their faces…”

IEA Sinnissippi is  helping Gruno’s & Kings Elementary School to collect both new and gently used English & Spanish books for all grade school levels. However, 3rd – 5th grade chapter books are especially in need.

If you can help, please send your donations to the IEA Sinnissippi Office (7029 Rote Road, Rockford, IL 61107) before 8/20/2015.
